Researchers, students and health professionals are invited to submit abstracts for the National Conference.  We welcome topics relevant to Parkinson’s Disease, including social inclusion and wellbeing, that align with the theme and streams.

  • Conference theme is PROSPER: physical mobility, reasoning and thought, occupation, social life, sense of purpose, emotions, recreation.

  • This conference will encompass a broad range of topics that can assist people with Parkinson's to improve independence and quality of life.

  • We encourage topics that address those concepts in three streams:  current research and practice, future research and advanced therapies.  Current research may include allied health therapies, carer well-being, falls prevention, and also retrospective review of trends and treatments to date.  Future research may include those novel, pure research themes, such as stem cell research.  Advanced therapies may include Deep Brain Modulation or apomorphine pump technologies, for example.

  • The selection will be made by the Parkinson’s research steering committee.

  • Notification of the outcome will be made via email by 1 July 2020.

  • Abstracts will be published following the Conference.
